Things we have learned while traveling

1. Under 5000 feet, altitude doesn’t really seem to bother us. Once we hit 7000 and above, we all feel rotten. 

 2.  Gas (petrol) in California is expensive. 

 3. If Dad estimates how long it will take to walk somewhere, he is using his pace, not Boy’s pace 

 4. Pickled herring isn’t horrible. 

 5. If you walk purposefully carrying a grocery bag (full or empty), people assume you live nearby and know what you are doing.

6.  You can buy ramen noodles ANYWHERE in the world, and they are always cheap.
