All year long, we have studied the countries we travelled through. Now that we have a three month stay, in one place, in the USA, we are going back and reviewing some U.S. History, before we end our road schooling year with a summer break.
While we covered the westward expansion, Native Americans, and pioneers as we drove cross country, and we discussed the Pilgrims around Thanksgiving time, we are spending this quiet time in Colorado going back to the Early English colonies and the Revolution, history topics we missed as we travelled this year.
We’ve joined the local library, so we have a stack of new books to read. Here are a few of our Revolutionary War finds.
And of course, we are getting out and enjoying the mountains of Colorado. We are hiking, watching the near daily snow showers, and Boy is trying his hand at an archery class.
