Our last day in California we started with a dip in the hotel pool, before tossing out all our old clothes and making one final pack of our suitcases for the world tour.
After selling the car we drove from Kansas City, we used a rental car to cover the post office, bank, and gas station. A quick stop for frozen bananas at Balboa Island, and then we were off to the airport.
It is freeing to be down to just our backpacks and suitcases. Boy really didn’t like having to pull his own roller suitcase, however, and that led to some tears on the way into the airport. He is feeling some stress as well, as the favorite stuffed animal, who we hadn’t seen since we packed two weeks ago, came out from the bottom of the backpack.
